What’s New
Release notes and updates for All-22 Review.
0.9.50
Latest April 12, 2026- Dual screen rewrite — completely rebuilt dual screen mode. The second display now shows a full video window with player, drawing tools, timeline, and controls. The main window becomes a data-only view with the grid and reports panel. Much more reliable than the previous transparent overlay approach.
- Tendencies panel customization — add or remove columns from any section (Situations, Offense, Defense) using the “Add data to section” button. Empty datasets auto-hide based on your data source, solving the Hudl vs RStudio column name difference. Your panel layout persists across app restarts.
- Grid column filtering — every data column now has a filter menu with searchable checkboxes. Filter any column by selecting or deselecting specific values.
- Cmd+Q fix — the app now fully quits on macOS when using Cmd+Q, even when the unsaved changes dialog is involved.
0.9.42
April 11, 2026- Unsaved changes guard — the app now warns you before closing the window or loading a different game when you have unsaved edits. No more accidentally losing your work.
- Window layering fix — the video player no longer floats above other apps on your screen. It stays within the All-22 Review window where it belongs.
0.9.41
April 5, 2026- Export: single compiled video — export all plays in the grid as one combined MP4 file. Handles mixed resolutions and framerates automatically by normalizing only the clips that don’t match the majority.
- Export respects filters — exporting from a playlist now only includes the plays visible in the grid after filters are applied. No need to create a new playlist for each concept cutup.
- Angle preferences in export — exported clips follow your angle order and skip disabled angles, matching what you see in the player.
- XChange segment extraction — XChange plays are properly extracted as individual segments during export instead of dumping the entire source video file.
- Export progress bar — the export dialog now shows a live progress bar with step descriptions during compilation.
0.9.4
April 5, 2026- Windows: XChange playback fixed — fast-forward, rewind, and slow-motion now work correctly on XChange games. Each play loads as an isolated segment instead of seeking within the full-length video file.
- XChange timeline accuracy — the scrub bar and timecode now use absolute positioning, fixing the timeline jump that occurred when releasing fast-forward or rewind on XChange games.
- Smoother pause-to-annotate transition — pausing now keeps the native video visible with a screenshot captured behind it. Selecting a drawing tool swaps instantly to the screenshot layer with no black flash.
0.9.3
April 2, 2026- Clip editor: native video player — the film splitter’s clip editor now uses the native video player instead of HTML5 video. Fixes a crash on Windows when previewing large broadcast recordings.
- Wide angle plays first — the Wide camera angle now always loads first when opening a game, regardless of how angles are ordered in the source files.
- Playlist angle selector — new per-clip angle dropdown in the playlist grid lets you choose which angle to play for each item.
- Windows: film splitter scene scan fix — fixed a crash when scanning videos for scene changes on Windows. The issue was caused by Windows drive letter paths being misinterpreted by ffmpeg’s filter parser.
0.9.2
April 2, 2026- XChange file support in Film Splitter — import a folder with a .xchange file and video to pre-populate cuts in the clip editor. Preview and adjust before exporting individual clips.
- Link Data File — attach a CSV or XLSX breakdown to any game in the splitter queue. The data file is automatically copied to the output folder alongside exported clips.
- XChange library detection — folders with .xchange or .xchange.xml files and a video are now correctly detected as games in the library
- XChange playback controls — fast-forward, rewind, and slow-motion now work correctly on XChange games with seek-based playback
- Platform-specific playback — macOS and Windows now use separate restoration strategies for scrubbing controls, fixing position jumps on macOS after fast-forward/rewind
0.9.1
April 2, 2026- Windows: fixed fast-forward getting stuck — throttled the render pipeline during high-speed playback to prevent the app from locking up. All playback controls now respond immediately when releasing fast-forward.
- Windows: reduced clip switch lag — faster file loading, smaller audio buffer, and demuxer prefetch tuning for snappier transitions between plays
- Auto-advance — plays now advance to the next clip automatically when they end (new default setting)
- Playlist fixes — tendency panel clicks now update the grid correctly, and the first clip auto-plays when opening a playlist
- Default Wide angle — Wide camera angle defaults to the first position when no angle preferences are set
- Shift+Arrow reliability on Windows — fixed a keyup detection quirk that could leave fast-forward or rewind active after releasing the keys
0.9.0
March 24, 2026- Film Import & Splitter — import full-length game film directly into All-22 Review. Scene detection scans for play boundaries, then cut and export individual clips to your library. Supports multiple games at once with per-file settings.
- Clip Editor — visual timeline editor for reviewing and adjusting detected cuts. Click any clip to preview it. Add, remove, or delete cuts with keyboard shortcuts (=, -, Delete). Sort by order or duration to spot outliers.
- Cooldown timer — prevents false cuts from camera pans by enforcing a minimum gap between cuts. Clips under the cooldown merge backward automatically. Manual cuts override the cooldown.
- Enhanced drawing tools — new freeform polyline tool (click to add points, double-click to end), dashed line style, and end-type selector (none, arrow, block) for all line tools
- Shape fill opacity — adjustable fill transparency for rectangles, triangles, and circles
- Line & shape editing — click any existing shape to change its end type, fill opacity, or stroke width
- Annotation frame-locking — drawings only display on their exact frame when paused. Clean screenshot captured once per frame, no duplicate captures on tool changes.
- Circle creation fix — circles now draw from corner like rectangles and triangles
- Tool persistence for lines — solid, dashed, and freehand tools stay active until you switch or press Escape
- Freehand icon updated to a curved line for clarity
- Import menu accessible via + Import button in the library panel
0.8.9
March 17, 2026- Viewing mode arrow shortcuts — plain arrow keys now control playback when not editing a cell (tap and hold patterns mirror Shift+Arrow)

- Timeline sync — timeline stays smooth and in sync during all scrubbing speeds
- Fixed timeline duration resetting to 0:00 on some clips
- Fixed stale playback events from previous clips interfering with current playback
- Snapshot capture now only activates when drawing tools are in use
0.8.8
March 17, 2026- XChange file support — folders with .xchange files and video are auto-detected in the library
